Torcross, South Devon, lies in a designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ and is uniquely nestled between Slapton Ley nature reserve (a freshwater protected lagoon) and the three mile long beach of Slapton Sands making it the perfect location for a captivating encounter with England’s stunning coastline.
Yoga Field & Sea host our epic day-long coastal experience for families and groups including Yoga, beginner wild swimming or paddle boarding and guided hikes along one of the most stunning stretches of the South West Coast Path to the lost village of Hallsands towards the famous Start Point Lighthouse. Throughout the day, (in between activities, lunch and flasks of tea) guests learn about the fascinating history and heritage of the area from local guides. They hear about Operation Tiger (WW2 local evacuation and practice for the D-Day landings), visit the tank memorial and hear all about the devastating storms that have repeatedly caused havoc and destruction.
Torcross Day Retreat
The day typically involves a Yoga class in our beautiful new studio 10 seconds from the beach, wild swimming or paddle boarding with our qualified instructors, a guided hike along the South West coast path and lunch/tea/cake! The day can be tailored to your group to be exactly what you want!
Slapton Day Retreat
For that little bit more luxury, we also host Day Retreats at our 5* Slapton retreat home, Higher Poole. The itinerary is similar to the Torcross Day Retreats but we add a little extra by including a hot tub session and bubbles. Our hot tub has beautiful sea views, overlooking Start Bay and the village of Slapton.
